Agency Brief.

Weekly · Paid · For agency operators

What changed in the AI tools agencies actually use.

Agency Brief is a $29/month note on launches, pricing, and limits — with a keep, watch, or kill on each. Written for owners and ops leads who sell and ship client work, not for people collecting tabs.

Agency BriefIssue #1

The weekly brief on AI tools for small agencies · Week of October 16, 2026

Four moves this week: one to check your invoice for, one to keep, one to test on a real client job, and one to watch because it goes after small-client retainers. Then the numbers on AI-visibility tracking for a 10-client book.

1.Jasper: REVIEW your seats

What changed: Jasper's Creator plan is gone. The removal was spotted on September 27, 2026. The cheapest plan is now Pro at $59/seat/month billed yearly, or $69/month billed monthly (Jasper pricing). On Business, Jasper now uses hybrid credits for API/MCP, Grid, GEO and agents, and admins can set per-user credit limits. The help doc for this was updated October 2, 2026.

2.Surfer: KEEP (if you sell SEO/content)

What changed: Surfer's MCP is out of beta for Pro plans and up as of October 9, 2026. AI Search Recommendations now turn into action plans, and Agent Analytics is in closed beta (Surfer October roundup).

3.Figma Design Agent: TRY (on creative delivery)

What changed: Figma's AI design agent is now generally available as of October 6, 2026. It had been in beta since May (The Verge).

What you get

Agency-only filter

Creative, media, SEO, ops, and client delivery. If it doesn’t change how a small agency sells or ships work, it doesn’t make the brief.

Pricing and limits, not marketing pages

Seat caps, rate limits, and real monthly cost called out. We check primary pricing pages before we recommend anything.

Keep / kill calls

Each tool gets a clear read: try, watch, or skip — with the reason in plain English. No “exciting” filler.

Sources you can check

Links to launches, changelogs, and pricing. Thin evidence gets flagged. We don’t invent numbers or quotes.

02

One issue, one stand-up

Each week: the one move that mattered for agencies; three to five tools with what shipped, what it costs, and a keep / watch / kill; one pricing or limit change worth catching before renewals; a short skip list. Roughly five to seven minutes. The point is a decision, not a digest.

FAQ

Who is this for?

Owners and ops leads at small creative, media, SEO, and digital agencies who need a reliable read on AI tools — not another tip dump.

How is this different from free AI newsletters?

Free lists chase launches. We filter for agency work, check pricing and limits, and end with keep/kill — so you can decide in minutes, without opening twenty tabs.

Do you take vendor money for coverage?

No paid placements in the brief. If that policy ever changes, we’ll say so in the issue. Recommendations follow evidence from primary sources.

What if I already follow Product Hunt / X?

Good — you’ll still miss pricing changes, quiet limit shifts, and tools that never trend. We catch those and drop the rest.

Can I share the brief with my team?

Yes for your internal team under one subscription per agency. Don’t forward the full issue outside your agency or post it publicly.

How do I cancel?

Cancel anytime from your account. No call required. You keep access through the period you’ve paid for.
